The Tomb of the Serpent King

When the leaders of the Butchers of Helix retreated from the the Tomb of the Serpent King, despite finding a map practically leading them there, they put out a call for volunteers. They said it would be dangerous. They said people would fake snakes, poison, and other dangers. They said there was no promised reward. They said a quick death was the most likely outcome.

Some people volunteered anyway. This is their story.
